Land’s End is the most westerly point of mainland Cornwall and it’s beyond pretty. You’ll definitely want to take a walk along the cliffs here to see some of the best views in the region.

Saint Michael’s Mount is a tidal island in Mount’s Bay and is one of the most photographed spots in the UK. The St Aubyn family has resided on the island since 1650. There is a picturesque castle and chapel at the top of the island which makes it a truly unique place for that Instagram shot.

Kynance Cove in Cornwall is considered one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the South West. There are great walks in the area and it is best to get here at low tide. Join the likes of Queen Victoria, Prince Albert and the poet Alfred Tennyson and put this one on your Cornwall bucket list.

This is one of the world’s most spectacular open-air theatres and is only 4 miles from Land’s End. It is quite unique as it’s built right above a gully with a jagged granite outcrop peaking off into the sea. If you have a chance, look for a concert or play to attend.

Tintagel Castle

Located on the peninsula of Tintagel Island, this castle which is situated with a beautiful backdrop on the water, may have been used as far back as the Roman era. Be sure to walk across the bridge and explore the coastline.

Bodmin Moor

Bodmin Moor is 209 sq km in size and features megalithic monuments, hut circles and cairns. One of the best features is the abundance of ponies in the region as well as Englands’ iconic sheep and cows. The area has been inhabited since at least the Neolithic era and is a spectacular area for a walk or photography.

These unique 19th-century gardens are located near Mevagissey. You can spend quite a bit of time here exploring and walking the different garden designs. It also holds Europe’s only remaining pineapple pit, kept warm by manure, and two sculptures made from rocks and plants named the Mud Maid and the Giant’s Head.

Bonus for Poldark Fans

If you’re a fan of the TV series Poldark, then you know that much of the show is filmed on location in the Cornwall area. Fans of the show will want to stop by these locations, as they are well known in the series.

Gwennap Head near Land’s End is the iconic Poldark vista for looking out to the sea in so many scenes. Kynance Cove, which is mentioned above, is also a well-known beach in the series and definitely worth a stop.

You can venture into unique Charlestown, which was a perfect location to be used for Poldark’s Truro. The National Trust-owned mine of Levant gives you the old mining feel that you would have seen from the show.

This modernized 1960s Airstream sits on 5 acres of serene farmland where you’ll find ducks, goats, cows and chickens wandering around. You may also happen upon some wildlife such as deer, otters and kingfishers. The surrounding woods are perfect for a stroll and in the spring they light up with thousands of bluebells.

The property also contains a farmhouse and three ponds which are fed by a little stream that flows beside an orchard. Once the sofa has been transformed, the Airstream can accommodate four guests in two double beds. There’s also a small kitchen, bathroom and eating nook.

You’ll be just a short drive from the charming towns of Falmouth and Truro plus an array of lovely Cornwall beaches. The Eden Project is also nearby for those rainy days.
